Independent research (and our own experience) shows that seniors who are fully engaged in life are healthier and happier. That’s why we put so much emphasis on life enrichment: activities, social events, outings and educational courses that offer so many options for community members to be engaged and fulfilled. You are truly independent, but every member of our staff is here to help you to enjoy the cultural, educational, health-oriented and social experiences, from organizing trips to providing transportation.
Cultural
Williston and the surrounding areas are renowned for their many cultural events, restaurants, shops, galleries, parks and resorts. At Williston Place, we offer regular outings to these attractions.
It could be a trip to Shelburne Museum or Lake Champlain. It could be a musical performance or a visit to a gallery. It could be a day of shopping in downtown Burlington or an evening of theater at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts. Whatever the adventure, there is always something interesting on the horizon, and it’s a mainstay of the culturally enriched lifestyle enjoyed by the community members of Williston Place.

Life is a journey, and we are always learning. By offering artistic, cultural, intellectual and technological opportunities our community members can pick and choose activities based on their interests.
Social
Share your own talents and interests, too – perhaps you have a skill or passion you’d like to share with others. Or, an activity you’ve always wanted to try. Gardening? Books? World events discussion? International cuisine? We’re here to support the activities or interests that you’d like to share with your new neighbors. Just talk with our friendly staff and we’ll work with you to organize your club or event.
